Crumbs Couture and The Sweet Hostess

Earlier this year we came across the the website of The Sweet Hostess and were just stunned by the gorgeousness on display. The site is run by the lovely Melissa, who was so helpful, ensuring that we got our order 2 days after we first got in touch. 

I like nothing more than spreading the word about fab suppliers that I meet, and so we have decided to join forces and do a bit of a giveaway, to give all of you the chance to have a bit of sweetness in your life!

Crumbs Couture's Harpreet Baura at the Cake and Bake Show

Hello Lovelies

It is with great pleasure that I announce that Crumbs Couture will be teaching 5 classes at the September Cake and Bake Show at Earl's Court (13-15 September 2013).

This is the third show that I am teaching at, with each of our previous classes selling out well before the event.

The Cake and Bake show brings together celebrity bakers, professional bakers, baking & decorating suppliers as well as novices, making it the perfect mix for a fab day out.

Christmas Cupcake Decorating Kit Giveaway

Hi Crumbs Fans!

Christmas is approaching, which means that many of you will have a bit of time off. It is pretty cold outside, and I bet those of you who are mums are wondering what to do to keep your kids occupied while they are off from school during the Christmas holidays! 

With this in mind, I have decided to give away a few goodies that will allow you to decorate some fab Christmas Cupcakes. The kit contains some snowflake plunger cutters, christmass tree cutters, christmas themed cupcake wrappers, silver sugar stars, snowflake sprinkles, edible santa decorations and edible reindeer decorations.

Cupcake Demonstrations at Kooks Unlimited in Richmond

Hi Cupcake Fans!

As many of you will know, the Cupcaker has recently become a resident of the wonderful area of Kew Gardens. In my exploration of the local area, I stumbled across the phenomenal Kooks Unlimited, who have a Cookery Equipment store as well as a Bakeware Studio on Eton Street in Central Richmond.

The Bakeware Studio sells absolutely everything a keen baker may need for baking or decorating cakes, cookies, cakepops... You name it, they sell it! The store has a beautiful baking bar at the rear of the shop floor, and we are delighted to say that The Cupcaker has been invited in to do a series of cupcake demonstrations for the public. The first one will be a "How to Make Valentines Cupcakes" demo and will be taking place at 7pm on the 1st of February 2012. In order to welcome Kooks Unlimited to Twitter, as well as spread the word about our upcoming demonstrations, we are launching a small giveaway! Crumbs! Couture and Tuatara, Kings Rd, Chelsea

Hi Crumbs! Fans,

Last night Crumbs! was invited to provide cupcakes for a party at Tuatara Club on the Swanky Kings Rd in Chelsea. The party is a weekly event called Fundraise Mondays, organised with Francis Boulle and Fredrik Ferrier from Made in Chelsea. Profits from the events go to Sentebale, Prince Harry's charity.

The rain did not deter the beautiful people who attended the party, making it yet another successful night for the charitable pair from recent hit show Made in Chelsea. Our mini-cupcakes went down a treat, with many chelsea-ites asking for details of the business for future orders.

Tuatara, which used to be called Mamilanji, is an exclusive new venue which comprises a large Main Club Room, a more intimate Chillout Bar and a beautiful Roof Terrace that evokes memories of the Balearics! (tuataraclub.com)

The event takes place every week so why not head down there next Monday and see for yourself? In the meantime, why not enter our Cupcakes and Cocktails competition? Win your Wedding Cupcake tower!

 At Crumbs! Couture we have been SO blessed with orders/ features and  publicity in 2011. This is why we would like to do something special for our brides in order to say "Thanks!".

As you know we are partial to a competition and our last competition ended during the Glastonbury Festival which we were lucky enough to provide cupcakes for. Last week we put our thinking caps on and decided that our next competition should be for a lucky couple who are planning their wedding. The winner will have an entire cupcake tower provided for their wedding for free.

As many of you will know, I got married in August 2010 and I LOVE all things wedding related so am really looking forward to reading your stories. To start you off I will tell you how my husband proposed to me in Feb 2010. We had been together nearly 4 years and I am awfully hard to surprise. I knew that a proposal was on the cards and I was being really annoying; each time my other half said we were going out I would say "make sure you have the ring in your pocket!". Valentines Day was looming and so my mind was in overdrive, so my other half knew that surprising me was key! 2 days before valentines day, I returned home from a day of baking to find the house dark and the alarm disabled. I walked in to find a trail of candles, rose petals, gifts and cute messages leading me up to my bedroom which faces over the garden. The final message told me to look out of the window, where I saw the words "Marry me" written in fairy lights and my sweetheart on one knee.... The rest is history!!

Glasto 2011

Hello Wonderful Crumbs! Fans,

We are all rather excited to have been asked to drop some cupcake boxes off for the celebs on Saturday at the Glastonbury Festival! We will be making up some bespoke cupcakes for the likes of Tinie Tempah and Jessie J!
