How many of you have seen the adorable pictures of little people approaching their first birthday beating the bejesus out of buttercream cakes? Well there is nothing that I love more than a good cake smash shot, and I think that they are the perfect pictures to use when announcing your little one's first birthday celebrations, as well as using as decor for the actual party.
As our layer cakes are all decorated in soft buttercream rather than fondant / roll out icing, they are the perfect cakes for smashing. Our ruffle cake in particular would be the perfect cake to use in baby pink / baby blue for that smash shot.
To get that perfect shot, remember to make your bubba the focus, and the cake should come next.. Don't go too wild in terms of decor, so choose either bunting, a tassel garland or balloons (all of which we can provide). Whether you are taking the shot yourself or hiring a professional, a few props and the perfect little outfit will ensure you get that perfect picture of your little sweetie getting messy!

Ben 10 Omniverse Cupcakes for The Cartoon Network
Hi Cake Lovers,
Last month we were commissioned to do an order for Turner Broadcasting. The Cartoon Network is one of their brands and they were having a corporate event to launch Omniverse, which is the 4th installment of the Ben 10 series.
They asked us to provide some bespoke cupcakes for them, each to feature the Omnitrix design.
Here are the results:
Feedback from the client was fantastic. We look forward to doing many orders for Turner Broadcasting in the future.

"Mum! We're bored!"
Hi Crumbs! Fans,
At Crumbs we are proud to announce that we have teamed up with the Ceramics Cafe in Kew Village to provide a fun activity for children.
As you will all know, we run Cupcake Decorating classes for Children. Our new "Cupcakes and Ceramics Classes" combine the Cupcake Decoration with fun Ceramic Painting activities too!
This combination allows children to take part in two creative, fun activities under one roof, meaning that there is more variety and the children are kept interested and stimulated! Children will leave with their decorated cupcakes as well as the ceramic items, both of which they created themselves!
The classes last 3 hours, with 1 hour being dedicated to cakey creativity and 2 hours spent in ceramic painting heaven! For more information you can e-mail me on hello@cupcakeslondon.com or check out the links below!
