At the end of September we provided a 4 tier victoria sponge cake for the wedding of Molly and Alex and the lovely Dalston Heights Near Hackney Downs. The venue was a funky loft space in the East End, and after carrying our boxes up lots of stairs, we got to work putting this cake together:

Victoria Sponge wedding cakes continue to be popular as so many couples are steering away from the overly-manicured cakes that have been traditionally associated with weddings. Molly and Alex were keen for their cake to match the relaxed nature of their wedding as a whole, and this certainly was a feast for the eyes as well as the tastebuds :)
