We wanted to make a big cake, but one that was slightly different! I have never been a fan of overly manicured wedding cakes, and so it only seemed right that my attempt would be a slightly more rustic one!
This cake was so much fun to make, particularly when we got to eat all of the left over fruit!
So here it is... Our 4 tier Victoria Sponge cake with berries :)

DeleteEach tier is on a very thin board, which is supported by a dowel in the middle of the tier below. The sponge is relatively soft and so if you towered the sponges on top of each other I am fairly sure they would be unable to support each other.
